1. Ticketing Information

Gates Open 12pm to Django Gypsy Village on 2 & 3 March

Gates Open 5.30pm to Lakeside Main Stage 2 & 3 March

Estimated finish 10:00pm 2 & 3 March

  • No refund, exchange or replacement of ticket after purchase.
  • We reserve the right to add/withdraw or substitute acts within the line up
  • The right of admission is reserved
  • Your ticket will be exchanged for an armband upon entry. This armband cannot be removed and given to another person. If you lose, remove or break your armband you will be unable to get a replacement and you may be asked to leave.
  • Entry is at own risk. The WA Gypsy Jazz Festival does not accept responsibility for any injuries, loss or damage sustained within or around the event.
  • The WA Gypsy Jazz Festival maintains the right to cancel ticket purchases of any person/s whom they deem not suitable for this event.
  • This event will run in all weather unless the safety of the artists and patrons are in danger. The WA Gypsy Jazz Festival reserves the right to reschedule the event and change locations.
  • Names on tickets are only used to verify proof of purchase should the ticket not scan.
  • Should your ticket not scan and you cannot prove purchase from an authorised ticket seller you will be refused entry.
  • VIAGOGO or TICKETMASTER RESALE are NOT authorised sellers, do not purchase through them.
  • We cannot verify ticket validity when purchased from third parties such as gumtree, ebay or facebook. 

2. Getting to the Venue

Public Transport

  • All patrons are encouraged to arrive by public transport where possible. The following train station is the nearest: Mandurah Train Station - a Bus Shuttle service will operate from here for more details: gypsyjazzfestwa.com/transport.html

Car Parking

  • The nearest parking is at Waroona Town Centre. All patrons will be transported to and from Waroona to the Drakesbrook Winery Venue by Bus.

3. Entry into the Venue

There will be one event entry point into the Winery where the busses will stop.

All ticket-holding patrons will be arm banded on entry.

If you intend to consume alcohol you will need to show ID upon entry and possibly within the venue. The following forms of ID are accepted:

  • A valid driver or riders licence or permit (issued by and Australian State or Territory)
  • Valid Passport
  • Proof of Age card issued by a public authority or the Commonwealth or of another State or Territory for the purpose of attesting to a person’s identity and age
  • Keypass (over 18) Identity card issued by Australia Post.

All bags will be searched on entry. Please note that alcohol, eskies, picnic baskets, hampers, commercial or packaged store-bought food will NOT be permitted. Please ensure you check the full prohibited items list before arrival. No bags bigger than A4.

Once inside the venue  pass-outs will NOT be permitted. If you leave the venue you will NOT be admitted back in. 

Prams are welcome, please be advised that your pram will need to be checked on arrival and may slow your process time on entry. Please also ensure your pram is never left unattended.

4. Age Limits and Requirements

Whilst minors are permitted at All-Ages events – Minors MUST be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. The venue is licensed for patrons 18 + only, so if you are bringing children under the age of 18 these persons must be accompanied by a responsible Adult at all times. 

ID Checks will also be carried out at the bars. The following forms of ID are accepted:

 5. Prohibited Items

The following items are prohibited from being taken into the venue:

  • Aerosol Cans
  • Alcohol
  • Animals – Except for Authorised Guide / Companion Animals
  • Any Liquids – Empty Water Bottles can be refilled inside the designated event area
  • Bags or containers too large to be stores under a seat
  • Balls, Sporting Equipment, Bicycles, Skateboards etc.
  • Commercial or pre-packaged and home made food
  • Confetti or torn paper
  • Drones, Professional Cameras or Video Recording Equipment
  • Eskies and Picnic Baskets
  • Fireworks or Explosives
  • Furniture, Tents, Gazebos or Inflatable Structures, folding chairs, including camp chairs larger than 90cm in height
  • Glass, Cans or Metal Containers
  • Illegal or Illicit Drugs or Substances of any Kind
  • Musical Instruments including Air Horns, Megaphones, Drums etc.
  • Studded Clothing and Accessories
  • Umbrellas, Poles, Sticks, Banners or Signs etc.
  • Weapons of Any Kind
  • Any item which is reasonably considered by the Promoter or Venue as being able to cause injury, nuisance or offence to any other person attending the Event.

6. Food, Beverage & Merchandise.

The event is fully licensed and patrons are NOT permitted to bring ANY liquids OR FOOD into the event. Empty plastic water bottles are permitted and may be re-filled free of charge once inside the event. A number of high quality food stalls and hospitality packages will be available. Homemade, Commercial or packaged store-bought food will NOT be permitted into the venue.

All stalls and bars accept cash and paypass. They cannot do cashout.

7. Seating and Chairs

Ticket holders are permitted to bring 1 (per person) reasonably sized camping chair (max 90cm height back of chair). The WA Gypsy Jazz Festival reserves the right to refuse Patrons to bring in chairs they deem to be oversized, in poor condition or damaged to the point where injuries may occur.

Anything larger than 90cm will be turned away at the Gate as we want everyone to enjoy the show and so there is no one obstructing anyone’s view on the day! There will be a designated disabled area at the concert area within the venue.

PLEASE NOTE: chairs should NOT be left behind, please take them home with you. This event supports minimal waste and minimal environmental impact.

Whilst it is understood that patrons may choose stand and dance during the event – we ask you please respect those seated around you.

8. Smoking

There are 2 designated smoking areas within the venue – these are the ONLY areas smoking is permitted. We ask that you respect the patrons around you.

9. Lost Property

Lost property can to be reported to Event Security during the event. Post event patrons are to contact the Drakesbrook Winery

10. Security

Drakesbrook Fine Wines is a fully licensed venue and by law is required to have a deployment of Event Security around the Venue. If you have any issues please direct your questions to the Drakesbrook Winery: drakesbrook.com.au

11. Accessible Facilities

Please note that being an outdoor event all patrons will be required to traverse inclined and level grass and dirt/gravel paths located inside and around the venue.

Accessible toilets are available within the venue. 

Companion Cards are accepted. Please contact gypsyjazzfestwa.com to arrange.

12. Inclement Weather

All patrons are advised the venue is predominantly outdoors and events will often proceed through inclement weather including wind and rain. Patrons are recommended to come prepared with appropriate clothing and footwear for the forecast. 

The Event Host and Promoter will do everything possible to ensure the event proceeds as planned – safety concerns regarding severe weather may delay, postpone or cancel an event.
